Dr. Shafik Sachedina has put his imprint in the world via various involvements and contributions. He graced the Dentistry world after graduating from the Guy’s Hospital Medical and Dental School at the University of London.
Here he graduated in 1975 and is qualified in dental surgery as a qualified surgeon. He was born in 1950 in Dar-es-Salaam, in Tanzania. His parents though are unknown. During his early twenties, he immigrated to the United Kingdom.
Part of his imprint is being one of the best surgeons in the dentistry field. This was as a result of the fact that he has racked up experience from practicing in various hospitals across the United Kingdom.
His experience has helped him gather leadership traits and positions. Sussex Health Care is a company that has devoted its services and expertise to care provisions and support services in homes in Sussex County, in South England. He serves as a joint chairman in this organization.
Aside from the health field, He has been involved in community-related activities. The role he has played is significant in the Institute of Ismaili Studies. The institute has operations in over sixteen countries across the globe.
He currently heads the department on top of being on the board of management of the Institute. In the former position, he has ensured a smooth, efficient and consistent flow of activities.
Moreover, delegating jobs, roles, and functions across all the branches is a role he plays. The board, on the other hand, are the key decision makers about the organization. Dr. Shafik Sachedina is therefore crucial to the institute.
Climbing further the chain, Dr. Shafik Sachedina is involved in the Aga Khan Development Committee. Linking Aga Khan to the Institute of Ismaili is the fact that Aga Khan pioneered the institute. This committee focuses on the economic advancements of the Muslims across the world.
Moreover, he is the chairman of Humanitarian Assistance International Coordinating Committees. Dr. Shafik Sachedina is anything but short of leadership capabilities. Adding to the resume is the fact that he served consecutively for two terms as the President of the Ismaili Council in all of the United Kingdom.
